For the organization of the Dutch Koi & Pond Days biosecurity is one of the top priorities. Here you'll find which measures are taken to prevent the spread of contagious diseases.
1) All materials are regularly disinfected;
2) Each bassin has its own net, test mug and bassin lid;
3) Between each bassin anti-water drop fences are placed;
4) Volunteers follow strict biosecurity protocols;
5) Visitors are informed by the biosecurity signs;
6) Volunteers control the safety of the fish;
7) Heaters keep the water temperature at the same rate;
8) During the night time the competition tent is closed;
9) Professional guards are present 24h/day;
10) Koi veterinarian dr. Tim Barbé keeps an eye on the fish.
